Tony Choe, 55, immigrated to the U.S. with his family in 1983 and has been in the restaurant business since. He started in Springfield, MO, where his family owned a restaurant that supported the family.
St. Louis Restaurant Review discovered what St. Louis Magazine has called an off-the-radar treasure. They were right!
They offer a small menu of Korean dishes, with 12-14 items, all of which are great sellers. They do not offer dine-in service, but they do have a patio shared with another restaurant.
It is a small restaurant located inside the Oriental Market, to the right between the coolers and freezers. The business model works because Tony prepares approximately 100 award-winning Korean dishes that are sent for pickup or delivery using one of the major third-party delivery companies.
Another one of those “don’t judge a book by its cover” situation.
