Two Wentzville School District Educatiors NAMED Finalists for PAEMST

(STL.News) Wentzville, MO: Wentzville School District recognized two educators to be finalists for the Presidential Excellence in Teaching Award. Wentzville Woman Susan Herndon Wins $755,000 Show Me Cash Jackpot

MO (STL.News) Susan Herndon hadn’t planned to purchase a Show Me Cash ticket when she stopped in at her local Petro Mart, 463 Hawk Ridge Trail in Lake St. Louis, but she’s glad she did.  The spontaneous purchase paid off in a big way when she won the second-highest Show Me Cash jackpot ever offered – $755,000. “It just kind of happened,” Herndon said, recalling her purchase. “The next morning, I got up and checked the ticket.  I have the Missouri Lottery app on my phone where you can check your tickets,” she explained.  “I checked that and it came up, ‘Congratulations! $150,000 Powerball Prize Won by Wright City Man, Howard Aubuchon

Wentzville, MO (STL.News) Howard Aubuchon of Wright City matched four of five white-ball numbers plus the Powerball number drawn on April 11 to win $50,000.  The prize was then tripled because Aubuchon had added Power Play to his Quick Pick ticket for an additional $1.  By doing so, his prize was multiplied by the Power Play number drawn that night, which was 3, adding up to a total prize of $150,000. Aubuchon purchased his winning ticket at Schnucks, 1960 Wentzville Parkway, in Wentzville.  The ticket is the sixth Powerball purchased in Missouri in 2020 to win the $50,000 base prize, and the first of those six to be multiplied with the addition of Power Play. Missouri News: Rally held in Wentzville, Missouri for United Auto Workers in strike against General Motors

Wentzville, Missouri (STL.News) - There was a strong show of support for striking United Auto Workers on Friday during a rally in Wentzville. About 500 supporters, including members of other unions, along with lawmakers attended the Hold The Line Rally outside of the Local 2250 United Auto Workers Hall in Wentzville.  Nearly 49,000 UAW workers across the country went on strike earlier this month after contract talks broke down with General Motors.  The strike impacts about 4,500 workers at the Wentzville GM Plant. Business News: Governor Mike Parson announces proposed incentives package aimed at attracting GM to invest in Wentzville plant

Wentzville, Missouri (STL.News) - A $1 billion expansion at Wentzville's General Motors plant is one step closer to becoming a reality.  On Wednesday, Missouri Governor Mike Parson announced a proposed incentives package that includes annual tax credits to automakers that invest at least $500 million in plant upgrades.  Parson held a closed door meeting at Wentzville City Hall with city, county, and state leaders to discuss the proposal that is aimed at giving Missouri an advantage when competing with other states to attract and retain major business expansion projects, including the potential General Motors investment in Wentzville.
