Las Vegas Metro Police Investigating a Commercial Robbery near Charleston Boulevard

Las Vegas, NV (STL.News) On August 11, 2020, at approximately 1:00 P.M., a robbery occurred at a business near Charleston Boulevard and Nellis Boulevard.  The suspect took items from the business and threatened the victim with a knife. The suspect is described as a white male, 30-35 years old, 5'7-5'9, 160-170 lbs, with a full sleeve tattoo on his right arm.  He was last seen wearing a gray baseball cap with black brim, black t-shirt with “iDrum” logo, and gray and white Adidas sneakers. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Investigating an Attack on a Senior Citizen Randomly

Las Vegas, NV (STL.News)  Detectives seek the public’s assistance to identify a suspect who walked up to a senior citizen and punched him in the head.  The attack occurred on July 30, 2020 at a shopping center located in the 1300 block of East Flamingo Road.  The 77-year-old disabled victim was walking into a grocery store pushing a shopping cart.  An unidentified male walked towards him as he was about to enter the store and punched him in the head without provocation.  The suspect then walked away before police arrived.  The suspect is described as a black male adult in his 20’s, wearing a white shirt, dark shorts and white shoes. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Investigating Homicide at Pool Party

Las Vegas, NV (STL.News) Patrol officers responded to a residence located in the 4800 block of West Richmar Avenue to investigate a reported stabbing.  Arriving officers located a victim in the backyard suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was transported to UMC Trauma where he was pronounced deceased.  The investigation initiated by the LVMPD Homicide Section indicates the residence was being rented out and hosting a two-day pool party.  During the party, a fight broke out where the victim was stabbed several times by an unidentified Hispanic male.  The suspect fled prior to officers arrival.  The identification of the victim as well as the cause and manner of death will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office. Las Vegas Police Arrested Mauricio Jesus Milla for Downtown Murder

Las Vegas, NV (STL.News) On May 31, 2020, the LVMPD received a report of a deceased person located in a dirt lot near the intersection of Searles and 23rd Street.  Arriving patrol officers located a decomposing body and it was not immediately known whether the person was a victim of a crime.  The Clark County Coroner’s Office performed an autopsy and determined the victim was stabbed to death.  Through the course of the investigation, Homicide Detectives identified 49-year-old Mauricio Jesus Milla as the suspect.  On July 16, 2020, Milla was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Clark County Detention Center on one count of Murder with a Deadly Weapon. Fatal Traffic Collision at S. Lamb Blvd at E. Tonopah Ave Las Vegas

Las Vegas, NV (STL.News) On July 9, 2020, at approximately 10:21 p.m., a fatal-traffic collision at N. Lamb Blvd and E. Tonopah Ave was reported to the LVMPD dispatch center.  The incident involved a pedestrian and a vehicle.  Evidence at the scene and a witness statement indicated a 35-year-old female pedestrian was crossing N. Lamb Blvd, westbound, on the north side of the intersection with E. Tonopah Ave. A southbound 2006 Hyundai Santa Fe, operated by 29- year-old Andrena Callender, struck the pedestrian forcing her to the ground. Emergency medical services transported the pedestrian to UMC where she was pronounced deceased.  The driver of the Hyundai remained at the scene and was not impaired.  The death marked the 48th traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dep...
