Ronald F. Richard is the first Missouri politician to serve as the top leader in both his state’s legislature houses.

Ronald F. Richard is an American political figure in Missouri.  Richard served in the MO House of Representatives, including Speak of the House, followed by being elected as a Missouri senator.  In more than 100 years, Richards is the first speaker to be elected as a Missouri senator.  Additionally, Richards is the first in Missouri history to serve as speaker and state legislature and only the fifth in US history to accomplish such.
