COVID-19 Breaking News: South African COVID variant found in Surrey

(STL.News) Two positive cases of a new coronavirus variant first found in South Africa have been found in Surrey.

They had no travel recent history or links to South Africa, where the new concerning variant originated.

Areas of Woking are now being visited by public health teams who will issue home PCR test kits to identify further cases.

Fatality rate of COVID19 patients is above average at 3%.
