Wonton King is a University City community that has become known as Chinatown. This family-oriented restaurant has served award-winning Chinese cuisine to the St. Louis community for decades. It has multiple larger-than-normal tables to accommodate large groups.
The owners, William Huynh and Ling Y. Dai are on-site daily to meet customer expectations. After you have eaten there a couple of times, they will know your name and address you accordingly.
This establishment has been written about frequently and will likely continue to be a primary focus due to its long history and popularity among Chinese cuisine lovers.
Chinatown has become a destination community for consumers to experience Asian cuisines. However, real estate development threatens its existence, quickly changing the atmosphere and landscape of the community. Sometimes, progress is not necessarily progress.
It is conveniently located approximately 1/2 mile east of the I-170 and Olive Blvd intersection, where the new Costco development recently opened.
The restaurant has many large tables for seating large groups or families. Several eight tops are frequently filled with friends, business associates, or families.
It is a family-friendly restaurant and a great place for kids.
They recently added their catering menu and promoted it on ezcater.com. Call-in catering orders are welcomed, as they don’t have to pay a commission to a third-party provider.
This is one of our favorite Asian restaurants in the city. The atmosphere is cozy, friendly, and clean, and the staff provides excellent service.
