$3 Million Mega Millions Ticket Sold in Cape Girardeau

(STL.News) – A Missouri Lottery player’s Mega Millions ticket is now worth $3 million.  The ticket was sold at Schnucks Market, 19 S. Kingshighway St. in Cape Girardeau, matching all five white-ball numbers drawn in last night’s drawing.  By adding the Megaplier option, the ticket instantly tripled a $1 million win into a $3 million prize.

The winning numbers drawn on Oct. 8 were 5, 8, 10, 17 and 48, and the Megaplier number was 3.  When the Megaplier feature is played, all non-jackpot prize winnings are multiplied by the Megaplier number drawn.

According to May Scheve Reardon, executive director for the Missouri Lottery, the lucky winner is the 533rd Missouri Lottery-made millionaire.  The ticketholder is encouraged to sign the back of the ticket and keep it in a safe place until it can be presented at a Missouri Lottery office.

Draw Game winners, including those who play Mega Millions have exactly 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize. In this case, the winners have until April 25, 2020.  Prizes can be claimed at any of the Lottery’s four offices, which are located in St. Louis, Jefferson City, Springfield and Kansas City.
